Devin House is a 2016 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Flower Mound, TX who attends Marcus. Extra-large, athletic build with a strong build that plays well in game action. Primary first baseman, very nice athletic actions around the bag, soft hands to pick in dirt, good arm strength across the diamond from a lower slot, tall target for fielders to throw to. Also pitched, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a clean arm action in the back. Throws across body but attacked hitters and filled up the lower quadrants of the strike zone to both corners, especially glove side. Fastball topped at 84 mph with cutting action. Showed a short breaking 10-4 curveball at 69 mph and flashed a mid-70s changeup. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow stance and low hand set. Compact swing, generates some loft with lift in swing, uses hands well in swing with strength to pull side. Nice bat speed and uses lower half well in swing. Good student.

Awards & Accomplishments
Devin is a 1B/RHP who has very projectable and athletic build. He excels offensively through an aggressive approach. He delivers the barrel quickly to and through the zone making consistent contact and showing pull side pop. He gets extension through contact and is a middle of the line-up type of guy who has the ability to drive in runs. Defensively at 1B, House shows good bag awareness and has active footwork. He shows some range and has the ability to move to his glove-side and backhand well. On the mound, Devin has a 3-pitch arsenal which he delivers from a low 3/4 arm slot. CH is best off-speed pitch as it shows glove-side run. More lower 1/2 drive will help increase FB velocity. Devin is a talented player and as only a 2016 grad, looks to have an exciting future in the game.
